About Havish RT Trust
HAVISH RT TRUST is a devotional non-profit organization rooted in compassion, seva (service), and the blessings of Lord Ayyappa. Our journey began with a divine spark and has now become a beacon of selfless service, feeding thousands with love and purity.
Our Story
The Beginning - 2018
In 2018, Gunalan Ramar s/o Ramar Kasi, a Malaysian citizen and a devoted Ayyappa bhakta (devotee) for over 17 years, visited Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, to see his akka and mama's family. During his stay, he visited a local Ayyappa temple and felt a deep spiritual calling to wear the Ayyappa mala and immerse himself further into devotion.
"If you can't feed a hundred people, then just feed one"
This is what started the food giving project in 2019
The Growth - 2019-2020
Moved by the challenges faced by many devotees and locals in accessing clean, well-cooked, and hygienic food, he began a humble service — preparing and donating meals to 20 people a day during the mandala deeksha period in 2019. With divine grace and growing support, this number soon increased to 50, then 100 meals a day — and this humble act of love continued through 2020.
The Food Bank - 2021
In 2021, with the strong support of his family, friends, and especially his brother Kuti Sandeep Kumar, who became the backbone of this initiative, Gunalan Ramar established a Food Bank. This allowed them to serve food at a dedicated place, ensuring a clean, spiritual, and welcoming environment for all devotees and the needy. By divine blessings, they were able to feed over 1,200 people daily for 101 days — all for free, with no token or charge.
Official Registration - 2022
